RAGFAC - RemoteAccess Global File Area Configuration
Version 1.0 Beta 1
This is a quick program to allow you to make global changes to the file
areas of RemoteAccess V2.0
I wrote it after moving all my file areas around with McRafam, and wanted
to put the file areas into groups. I figured it would be faster to write
the program than to go through each area one by one.
This looks for the FILES.RA in the CURRENT directory (please work on a back-
up copy of Files.RA in case something goes wrong <grin>) It also reads the
CONFIG.RA from the directory pointed to by the RA environment variable.
This is used to know which archive types are available.
This program is limited to 1000 records in Files.RA (1000 areas)
If anyone needs more right away, let me know.
You can Tag areas, then apply changes to all tagged areas. Almost everything
can be changed from this program, except paths and area names since you wouldn't
change these globally!
The whole thing is pretty self explanatory as you use it, but I want to mention
a couple of points:
Option I on the Changes Screen (Areas Is On CDROM)
I originally intended that you tag all areas which are on the CDROM and then
proccess them. Instead, what I did was ASK you what drive letters your CDROM
drives are, and any tagged area with a filepath on one of those drives is
marked as a CDROM drive.
Option S on the Changes Screen (Convert To Which Archive)
This reads the available archive types from the CONFIG.RA file.
Option Y on the Changes Screen (Security Flags)
> First you are presented a list of Flags:
[L]ist Security Flags
[U]pload Security Flags
[D]ownload Security Flags
Update Which Flag Set? : List
> Then you are prompted for the Flag, EG. A,B,C, or D
Change Which List Security Flags? [A-D] : A
> You are then presented with a list of Keys to use
Flag Codes :
* Do Not Change This Flag - Leave as it is in Files.Ra
- Users Flag may be ON or OFF for the Tagged File Areas to be accessed
X Users Flag MUST be ON for the Tagged File Areas to be accessed
O Users Flag MUST be OFF for the Tagged File Areas to be accessed
> Then finally prompted for the 8 character flag settings
12345678
Enter Flags : --OXX***
